Honor Flight Network is a non-profit organization created solely to honor America's veterans for all their sacrifices. We transport our heroes to Washington, D.C. to visit and reflect at their memorials. Top priority is given to the senior veterans – World War II survivors, along with those other veterans who may be terminally ill.

War Zone Wear® is a member and proud contributor to the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans (NCHV). The NCHV is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization governed by a 13-member board of directors. It is the resource and technical assistance center for a national network of community-based service providers and local, state and federal agencies that provide emergency and supportive housing, food, health services, job training and placement assistance, legal aid and case management support for hundreds of thousands of homeless veterans each year.

The Department of Veterans Affairs has activated a new website aimed directly at surviving spouses of military members who died on active duty and surviving spouses of veterans who died after serving their country. The top website to the right links to the VA pages describing survivor benefits. In addition, there are links to other state and federal government sites on that page that may offer valuable information and assistance.

The Military Order of the Purple Heart (MOPH) is proud to represent all veterans, their widows and orphans. There is no membership or combat wound requirement in order to receive their assistance. You can locate your local MOPH Service Officer by clicking on the link to the right and scrolling down the file to your state and a major city nearest your residence.

Supporting America's military in their time of need, Fisher House provides "a home away from home" that enables family members to be close to a loved one at the most stressful time -- during hospitalization for an illness, disease or injury.

Homes for Our Troops is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization strongly committed to helping those who have selflessly given to their country and have returned home with serious disabilities and injuries. Homes for Our Troops assist injured servicemen and women and their immediate families by raising donations of money, building materials and professional labor and coordinating the process of building a new home or adapting an existing home for handicapped accessibility.

Operation Hero Miles was created by the US Airlines and Congressman Dutch Ruppersberger, representing Maryland's 2nd District, to meet the needs of our soldiers deployed overseas. It relies on the generosity of thousands of fliers who have donated over 540 million miles to help our soldiers.

The VFW's Military Assistance Program (MAP) is a quality of life initiative that focuses on easing the financial emergencies of deploying service members and supporting them and their family through the hardships of deployment. MAP also provides one-time grants up to $500 to servicemembers needing emergency financial assistance. In addition, MAP has forged partnership with various service providers, including vetjobs.com, aimed at providing the transitioning service member with relocation and employment assistance.

The VFW's Operation Uplink is a unique program that keeps military personnel and hospitalized veterans in touch with their families and loved ones by providing them with a free phone card. Operation Uplink purchases phone cards and distributes them to servicemen and women who are separated from those they care about.
